According to the <em>World Health Organization<\/em> <em>(WHO)<\/em>, it\u2019s safe and harmless to consume cannabidiol, as long as it\u2019s pure and doesn\u2019t contain dangerous toxins.<\/p>\n<p>Although the <strong>hemp and cannabis plants<\/strong> are biologically related and appear similar at a first glance, hemp does not produce the same <strong>psychoactive effects<\/strong> as cannabis does.\u00a0Furthermore, the hemp plant has been used as a <strong>raw material, food source or for medicial purposes<\/strong> for thousands of years.<\/p>\n<p>Cannabidiol is not a psychoactive cannabinoid from the <strong>female hemp (cannabis)<\/strong>, which means it does not have a <strong>psychoactive or intoxicating effect<\/strong>.
