During water filtration, the raw material is passed through a special filter system with high water pressure, which separates the required active ingredients from the rest of the plant. The CBD gathered in this way is then dried before it can be processed further.
In the alternative method of dry sieving, the CBD extract is separated from the rest of the product using fine sieves. However, the end of this process isn’t classified as true CBD hash, as it is much less concentrated and contains large amounts of other residues of the hemp plant.
The third official method of obtaining CBD extract is by extracting the CBD with alcohol. The process achieves very good results – just like the CO2 extraction technique used by Tom Hemp’s.

During the CO2 extraction process, the active ingredient is released from the plant material using carbon dioxide. At Tom Hemp’s, we use the CBD extract gained this way to produce our Stardust Isolate, which has a purity of 99.8%.
