WHAT IS CBD OIL?
CBD oil is a product derived from the female industrial hemp plant (Cannabis sativa L.). The plant extract is obtained from EU-certified hemp and combined with a carrier oil such as hemp seed oil, MCT oil or olive oil. At Tom Hemp’s, CBD oils are offered as a cosmetic product or mouth oil, developed with a focus on clearly defined composition and careful processing. With a THC content below 0.2%, CBD oil complies with legal regulations in Germany and many other European countries and is non-psychoactive. Depending on the formulation, CBD oil may also contain additional natural plant compounds. These include terpenes, which are responsible for the characteristic aroma – ranging from mild herbal notes to slightly earthy profiles.
DOES CBD OIL CONTAIN THC?
CBD oil is produced from industrial hemp, which is legally required to contain only trace amounts of THC (below 0.2%). As a result, CBD oils do not contain relevant levels of tetrahydrocannabinol and are non-psychoactive. All CBD oils at Tom Hemp’s are produced in compliance with legal standards and are independently lab-tested. Our range includes different options, such as full spectrum oils with 5% and 12% CBD, as well as aroma oils with 7%, 12% and 18% CBD. A 10 ml bottle contains approximately 250 drops and can be used according to its classification as a cosmetic or aroma product.
