CBD extract can be extracted through several methods. One of them is CO2 extraction. This specific type of cannabidiol extraction is environmentally friendly and achieves a very pure end product. During CO2 extraction, the substance is released from the plant material through carbon dioxide.
During water filtration, the raw material is passed through a special filter system with high water pressure, which separates the required active ingredients from the rest of the plant. The CBD gathered in this way is then dried before it can be processed further.
In the alternative method of dry sieving, the CBD extract is separated from the rest of the product using fine sieves. However, the end of this process isn’t classified as true CBD hash, as it is much less concentrated and contains large amounts of other residues of the hemp plant.
The third official method of obtaining CBD extract is by extracting the CBD with alcohol. The process achieves very good results – just like the CO2 extraction technique used by Tom Hemp’s.
