Why a carbon dioxide grow bag? The CO2 Grow Bag is a compact and cost-effective solution that produces carbon dioxide (CO2) for your plants. It can accelerate plant growth, promote the ripening process of fruits and improve quality, colour and yield. The CO2Bag is safe, easy to use and maintenance-free. It is the smallest and most effective product of its kind on the market. The size of the bag is designed to supply CO2 to indoor gardens and small to medium sized growing areas, i.e. 1 bag supplies 4-6 plants.
What is carbon dioxide?
Carbon dioxide is as important to plants as oxygen is to humans. It is an essential factor for the growth of green plants. Without sufficient CO2 from the air, plants grow more slowly. The CO2Bag offers an effective, simple and inexpensive method of providing more carbon dioxide in your greenhouse.
When and where is the CO2Bag used?
Start using the CO2Bag 2-3 weeks after sowing. Poke six holes in the top of the bag and hang it above the plants. In large greenhouses, it is ideal to hang the bag above the aisles. The CO2Bag only produces carbon dioxide at temperatures above 18 ºC. Store the sealed bag in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 18 ºC.
How long can I use the CO2Bag?
As soon as the contents of the CO2Bag come into contact with oxygen, CO2 production begins, which can take a few days. Depending on the ventilation of the greenhouse, a CO2Bag will produce CO2 for 1-3 months for a greenhouse up to 5 m².
How to maximise the benefits?
With extra carbon dioxide in the air, plants can tolerate temperatures up to 3-5 ºC higher. However, this also means that the plants need more water and nutrients.
What does the bag contain?
The bag contains a special formula based on hydrogen carbonate (NH4, HCO3).
Should the bag be installed near a fan?
Yes, the fan should be positioned so that the carbon dioxide is evenly distributed in the room.
